I wrote this song after spending the entire day trying to write something as beautiful as Holocene by Bon Iver. After hours of failure and frustration, suddenly this song appeared, as if out of nowhere. While writing, I related how worthless and empty I was feeling in that moment of failure to how I felt about my love life when I was a bit younger. This empty feeling of dedicating oneself to another person when it doesn’t work out, for whatever the reason.
